As a result of sporadic criticism of the user-friendliness, or lack thereof, of the portable document format previously used by this site for it's releases, we are testing a "The Smoking Gun"-style format of large images. Feedback is appreciated.
This page contains the single-page Homeland Security Operations Morning Brief produced by the DHS/IAIP for September 9th, 2004. It also contains a two-page draft or revision HSOMB also dated September 9th, 2004.
The "XXXX" above where the tracking number should be is indicative of a draft copy, but the entries dated 09 September - the nominal date of the Brief - suggest a revision. Most duplicate-dated HSOMBs seem to be the result of employees using the current day's file as a template for the next day's HSOMB, and there is often overlap between them and the next day's Brief; this is not the case here, and the reason for two "Morning Briefs" being issued in one day can only be guessed at.
